About us
up//root is a community + publishing platform amplifying critical voices in libraries, archives and cultural heritage. We are a space to connect and imagine free futures together. We primarily publish essays, blogs, interviews, + book reviews, but have also worked with a variety of creative expressions including poetry, photography, illustrations, audio/video and more.
We welcome experimentation (and disruption) to shepherd, cultivate and share knowledge in tender collaboration with our communities. Learn more about our pitching criteria.
