Moving Forward

Since 2020, up//root crafted space for BIPOC in LIS to express ourselves freely. For the past couple of years, we have been lucky to be funded through a SPARC grant that enabled us to compensate both authors and peer reviewers.

Unfortunately, we will no longer be grant funded moving forward which means we can no longer pay peer reviewers or authors.

Though it’s heartbreaking for us that we can not continue compensating our collaborators, up//root will continue to publish thought-provoking and energy-freeing work from our BIPOC community while prioritizing a safe and loving editorial process.
